About · The whole picture

Serious about the work.
Easy about everything else.

I grew up curious in Colombo, chased a full scholarship to Islamabad for an electrical engineering degree, and came home to build AI that actually reaches people. Along the way I learned that steadiness — calm hands, clear thinking, a life outside the screen — is the real edge.

Ahamed Musharaf

The short version

I'm a forward-deployed AI engineer — which means I don't just build models, I sit with the people whose work they're meant to change and stay until it does. Agentic systems, document intelligence, computer vision: whatever the problem needs, taken all the way to shipped.

01 — Journey

How I got here

2026

MSc, Data Science & AI

University of Moratuwa

Going deeper on the theory behind the systems I build.

2025

Forward-deployed, three times over

Sansa · SimpleBooks · Absol X

Shipping agentic AI, document intelligence and an AI sales agent — with real clients and real deadlines.

2024

BSc, Electrical Engineering

NUST, Pakistan

Graduated after four years far from home — where the CV and ML work really started.

2020

Allama Iqbal HEC full scholarship

Awarded on merit → NUST

A full merit scholarship took me from Colombo to Islamabad.

2019

Royal College, Colombo 07

Where it began

Grew up curious in Colombo — and I still call it home.

02 — How I work

Three things I hold onto

01

Calm under pressure

The system is on fire and the client is watching — that's exactly when a steady hand matters most.

02

End-to-end ownership

From the messy first prototype to the last mile of a deployed product. I own the whole arc.

03

Humans in the loop

The best AI knows when to ask a person. I design for confidence, review and trust — not blind automation.

03 — Off the clock

The life that keeps me balanced

The best debugging happens away from the keyboard. These are where I go to think — and to stop thinking.

Alpine night
Away from the desk

Mountains & moving trains

I reset at altitude and on slow trains. New places, thin air, and long views are how I come back with clearer thinking.

Matchday

Football is my off-switch. Nothing quite clears a hard problem like a full stadium and a game that refuses to be predictable.

A notebook that never closesAlways tinkering

A notebook that never closes

Curiosity is the job. I keep a running notebook of ideas, sketches and half-built things — most of what I ship started as a scribble.

Curious what all this looks like in production?
